I WISH I COULD REMEMBER

I wish I could remember

The sound of your voice,

Your rippling throaty laughter

Would make my heart rejoice.

I wish that I could look again

Into your steel grey eyes,

You were very generous

Caring, kind and wise.

I wish that I could walk with you……

But memories will have to do.
