The older I get the more I value
The care of my women friends,
As we walk down life’s road
With its many twists and bends.

I value their smiles and kindness
The laughter they share with me,
And when I am sad they will sit down
And just cry along side of me.

The trust that they place in my care
And the secrets that they often tell,
How that their hearts are hurting
And I understand so well.

They understand my anger
And the frustration I am feeling,
They understand the love I feel
And how my senses are reeling.

They remember with me
The days when we were young,
How there busy frantic days
And happy songs were sung

We exchange recipes and thoughts
And wonder what the future holds,
How our lives are changed
And how different are our goals.

The older I get the more I value
The care of my women friends
Thankyou for being there for me
As we navigate the bends.
