Let there be peace on earth
And let it begin with me,
Let there be peaceful days
For all the world to see.

Let the children run and play
And let them laugh and sing,
Let the parents feel the joy
That having them can bring.

Let the rivers flow clean and deep
And the gardens bloom again,
Let there be calm sweet sleep,
While listening to the rain.

Let the wind blow softly
And the sun shine on the grain,
Let the sky be blue once more
In spite of days of pain.

Let there be fluffy white clouds
And a well that's full and deep,
A story told at bedtime
Before the children sleep.

Let there be a comfy bed
And a pillow soft and warm,
Let our home be a safe place
Let all be kept from harm.

Let the ocean waves beat
Gently on the shore,
May there be peace on earth
Today and evermore.

Let the seasons roll on by
From summer days till fall,
Let the Christmas candles
Cast shadows on the wall.

Let springtime daffodils
Restore our hearts again,
Let violets and roses bloom
And somehow ease our pain.

Let there be a sparkling Christmas tree
With lights and tinsel too,
Let it shine out in the window
Let it serve to welcome you.

Let there be a helping hand
When the path gets rough and steep
Let there by a friend beside us
Who will sit and let us weep.

Let there be some hope and comfort
For those who are far from home,
Let there be peace on earth
So they never need to roam.

Let there be peace on earth
And let it begin with me,
Let there be peaceful days
For all the world to see.
