HERALDS OF SPRING I picked some daffodils this morning Not the bold and yellow kind ~ These were soft and small and creamy And brought pleasure to my mind. I placed them in a vase And let my mind go wandering, So many lovely, pleasant thoughts As quietly I sat pondering. These were planted just for me And as the seasons roll, They grow and blossom And bring comfort to my soul. I smell their heady perfume As I view each petal small. These flowers are so beautiful I want to share them all. Always I shall love them And cherish every part Of this precious living legacy Planted with love from the heart. © Linda J.
