We have no snow and winter winds
No Snowman in our lane,
We have heat and summer storms
On an endless dusty plain.

Families take their children, pyjama clad
To Carols by Candlelight.
They sit in parks on blankets
And celebrate Christmas night.

No sleighs for Santa to leave
But toys for swimming pools,
This is the long holiday
And time away from Schools.

Our Christmas meals are held outside
In the shade from a nearby tree,
This is such a special time
To celebrate with family.

Christmas beneath the Southern Cross
In a diamond studded sky
Holds such special memories for me
It often makes me cry.

It doesn't matter where we are
As long as we share the love
And very special blessings
Sent from Heaven above.
